Hello, We are trying to complete a code class project for a nonprofit in the next two weeks. We need to create a database, which we are learning in class, but we are running out of time.
We have started creating our classes with our teachers help and are about a third of the way done. It is kind of complicated and wondered if anyone had time to meet with us briefly over the weekend to organize and create the rest of the classes. We are using Visual Studios and will be connecting it to SQL Server.
Thanks.

I have a busy weekend lined up; but I will try. I live an hour away from Omaha and my Internet connection at home is not very fast. I will be headed home in about 10 minutes and I won't be back online till about 7:30 or so; after supper.
Couple questions: Besides Visual Studio (C#) and SQL Server, can you tell me a bit more about what you are doing, please?
For instance, are the classes you are creating for a Model layer to work with SQL Server and a client of some type? Just tell me a little about your architecture and what you are doing. How are you planning on reading/writing the data in SQL server from and to the database? Is the client a web application? What is the client written in? And etc.
To be most helpful I always feel like I should understand the architecture of what is happening so that I can give accurate advice.
About this weekend. Tomorrow morning I could help, remotely, about any time you want to start. I have an appointment at 1:00 p.m. for some volunteer work I do that I can't change.
Sunday I will be home most of the time as far as I know.
Does this help at all? It's a challenge when I am so far away and my Internet connection is not that fast. Posting on this forum works well for me. I can answer questions in this forum, if that is a method that is not too slow for you.

Something I just thought of; I have company access to a web-based meeting product called WebEx. It's a typical web-based meeting/sharing environment; and it works fairly well on low bandwidth because of the server horsepower behind it. If I need to look at something you are doing, we could potentially use that for real-time collaboration.
Keep me posted on how you want to proceed, if I can be any help.

Mike, Thanks so much for the reply. I did not see that there was a response (I figured I would receive an email notification when someone responded). I will get back to you after class today and see if we can set up an online hangout to get some questions answered. My email is amylarsak@gmail.com.
Thanks again, Amy

Rather than email, please use this forum. Others will learn from our questions and answers here. Let me know if you have questions about C#. I've been writing production C# since the start of C#; doesn't mean I'm an expert; just means I should be able to help you find answers to your questions.
How is your project going? A week has gone by. Are you making progress?
Please ask if you have questions. --Mike
